Our Kenyan Advisory Committee and volunteers are critical to the success of the Dream Sponsor mission and the over success and progress of our orphan children. The USA Board of Directors is sincerely grateful to this team of dedicated, hard working and passionate professionals who give endlessly of themselves for the good of our children.
“It Takes A Village to Raise a Child”!!!
Pictured above with our children and their caretakers in the back row, are (l to r) Meridinah Otuma, Bishop Charles Anabaka, John Imbayi, Rev. Jorum Andayi, Simei Omusinya and Susan Otuma. This team is based in Buynore, Kenya.
Susan Otuma and Bishop Charles Anabaka (pictured right) are founding members of the Kenyan Advisory Committee. The two met founding members of Dream Sponsors, during a 2007 visit to the USA in which they promoted the mission of Kijana Educational Empowerment Initiative, another organization serving the educational needs of youth in the Western region of Kenya.
Project Volunteer Liaison, Meridinah Otuma, pictured with sponsored orphan youth. Meridinah’s tireless efforts and advocacy for these children is a true inspiration to all of us! She provides food distribution, mentoring, emotional support, school and home progress monitoring, outcome data reports and so much more. Meridinah has become a valuable extended family member to these children and a tremendous asset to our team! She has embraced these orphan children as her own!
During a recent visit to Kenya, Meridinah expressed how much she values the volunteer work with Dream Sponsors and finds the connection with the children very rewarding!
