A True Show of 'Girl Power'...

Kaitlyn Knight (center), a junior at Oil City Senior High School (OCHS) in northwestern Pennsylvania, joins forces with classmates to raise funds in exchange for beaded wrist bands to sponsor an orphan thru Dream Sponsors, Inc. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Marta and Samuel Knight of Oil City. Ten year-old “Sheila”, who resides with her grandmother in a Nairobi slum, is the Knight family’s chosen child. The Knight’s generously provided a full year’s support for Sheila. Kaitlyn has been working hard to raise funds for future support. She and her family have raised the funds for an additional year’s support thru the wrist band fundraiser!!! The organization’s President/Founder, Carla Neumann and Marta Knight, OCHS class of 1979, have been life-long friends.
